Living at Erwin Home

Facilities & Activities

When you awaken each morning in your Erwin Home apartment, you greet each day unfettered by worries and fully prepared to live life to its fullest.

If your in a mood for solitude, you can curl up with a good book in the privacy of your own appartment, or in an overstuffed sofa in a corner of the Cooper Living Room. In good weather, a walk through the impeccably landscaped grounds reveals an ever-changing myriad of sights - birds, animals and a veriety of ornamental plantings that include copper beach trees and a rare ginko tree that date back nearly to the opening of the Erwin Home.

For community activities, there's simply no telling what a knock at the door or a quick check of Home's bulletin board will reveal. There are frequent card and bingo parties, and a dedicated "sewing room."

Frequently, residents will pile into one of the Home's mini-buses for trips to concerts, museums, special events and interesting destinations. If it's thursday, the vans will also take residents grocery shopping, if they wish. A large screen TV sits in the Cooper Room and can be used to view TV shows or movies. Once a month residents gather for a party to celebrate those with a birthday. In fine weather there are cookouts, and once a year the Board provides a fully catered sit-down meal for the residents.

the Erwin Home is frequently filled with residents' friends and familly, and the Cooper Room can be reserved for special events. There are even guest apartments within the Erwin Home where your guests - male or female - may stay overnight for just a nominal charge.
